Welcome
to the
Welcome to our web site. Before you continue, please allow me to explain what we are trying to achieve with this web site. The aim is to give you some insight as to who we are and what we are trying to achieve. The purpose of this web site is to persuade you to come and train with us. This web site is not intended to be a definitive guide to Aikido. To achieve this it would have to be far larger than it is and there are many other sites and books that have already done this more thoroughly and effectively than we could ever hope to do. Please bear in mind that the adult Aikido classes run by the Middlesex Aikido Club are suitable for both men and women of all ages from 16 upwards. You are never too old to start and because it does not rely on strength or speed Aikido is an activity you can carry on for life. The first class is always free so apart from your time there is little to loose by coming along and giving this wonderful martial art a try. If you don’t feel comfortable starting straight away or just want to see what Aikido is all about then you are welcome to come and watch. In Aikido there is no such thing as a silly question and we will be happy to answer any questions as best we can. I sincerely hope that after spending some time on this site you will see that we are simply a group of people studying Aikido in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If this site creates an interest in our club and you decide to come and give Aikido a try, then brilliant!! If you decide not to, then we wish you the best of luck and we hope that you find what you are looking for. Either way, thank you for taking the time to look at our site. |
